The 11th annual National Black Book Festival is scheduled for Oct. 25-27, 2018 at Fallbrook Church (Sports Facility), 12512 Walters Rd., in Northwest Houston and is sponsored by Cushcity.com, one of the leading websites promoting African-American literature. 

General admission to the Festival (including author exhibits, seminars, and featured author sessions) will be FREE to the public and this 11th annual event will feature the following:

HOTELS: The host hotel is the Sheraton North Houston and rooms are $89.00/night. NBBF will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the Sheraton daily. A list of hotels close to the venue are online here.

The 2018 Festival will be marketed nationwide to over 1,100 Black book clubs, 25,000 book readers, 100 libraries, and 1,000 chapters of non-profit organizations (e.g., sororities, fraternities, etc).  National and local media will be apprised of the event.  A full-color NBBF Newspaper will be distributed to schools throughout the greater Houston area during the weeks leading up to the event.  The newspaper will include the full Festival schedule, as well as information on featured authors, entertainment and workshop presenters.  A promotional video will be heavily promoted throughout the NBBF social media network, which is in excess of 83,000 fans.

Authors may obtain a draped table during the Festival.  Author tables include two chairs, two badges (for an assistant, if needed) and table signage.  In addition, authors who register with tables will receive one (1) ticket to both breakfasts on Friday and Saturday.  Authors will be grouped according to genre for easy reader navigation through the Festival spaces.

NOTE:  Since the 2018 Festival will be held on church property, the display of books with profanity or nudity on the covers is strictly prohibited. In addition, books in the erotica genre cannot be displayed.

Small Business/Educational Institution Tables
NBBF accepts a limited number of non-book/small business and institutional vendors.  The standard registration rate for small business vendor tables is only $400.00 (all NBBF fees are non-refundable), with a 50% deposit required upon registration. The small business/institution vendor packet should be downloaded and reviewed by all vendors who reserve tables, and is available here:

Publisher Exhibits
The standard registration rate for publisher exhibits is only $500.00 (all NBBF fees are non-refundable).

Corporations
The early bird registration rate for corporate exhibits is only $700.00. Corporate exhibits include a 10' x 10' exhibit space, which can accommodate a modular corporate exhibit or NBBF can provide the draped table space in a premium location for the Festival.  Corporate exhibitors receive 6 chairs, 6 vendor badges and table signage, as well as 6 tickets to all NBBF special events.  The corporate vendor packet should be downloaded and reviewed by all entities wishing to reserve exhibit space, and is available here:  http://www.nationalblackbookfestival.com/corporate.pdf
